Current Events

There have been a lot of discussion recently that focus on some sort of difference between IDPA shooters and USPSA/IPSC shooters. Grow up folks is all I can say.

If you cheat at a match I am the match director of I will ask that you never return.

Together we stand divided we fall.

While I am still trying to figure this blog thing out, I wanted to make a comment on this topic. First, IDPA was created by former IPSC/USPSA folks disgusted with the equipment race and bad habits developed since the inception of action shooting by Jeff Cooper and others. IDPA rules are not perfect and the sport does owe a debt to what I call NASCAR shooting. But, if you want to shoot IPSC, go and do so. You will be a good shooter.

But if you show to shoot IDPA, bring a non-rooney gun, service ammo, a concealment holster and at least the willingness to participitate in our program.

If you are new to the sport and bring out the wrong equipment, we will help you. Lord knows that when I started every bit of stuff I had was wrong or did not work. But don't deliberately bring out that IPSC crap to play with us!
