I have seen this before on the Gabe channel. And, while GS is very high speed and low drag, he is also the subject of some controversy. How much of this is "buzz" I don't know. Gabe, from my perspective, has settled on the AK in 762 Soviet and the Glock in 9mm with a quick and dirty system for CQB. I first noticed him when he was endorsed by Jeff Cooper in his first book. I think that he and Clint supposedly got a thing going over "Position Sul". How much of this is marketing?
IDPA may well get you killed as may IPSC or PPC or even a complete lack of practice with semiannual qualification. All of them may give you bad habits. I know I have a pronounced tendency to shoot each target twice (sometimes with another to the head) and move on. I just don't know what the alternative is!
But, I am sticking with IDPA (and in some cases a modified IDPA) and actually the only person I am competing with out there is me! I did not even get a trophy for my championship BUG match!
Real guns, real ammo and unreal people, that is my motto!
