NRA Tactical Police Competition

I found this on-line this morning! It is very interesting. TPC appears to be a blend of USPSA and IDPA. Accuracy is a much higher priority than IDPA or USPSA but there is no round count limit.

It appears only to be open to Law Enforcement..... or the discretion of the match director. Maybe someone should start a TCC.... Tactical Civilain Competition.

Here are the rules

I was very impressed with the performance of the four young police and two (one a right seasoned) corrections officers I had at the ITI PUT match last month. The modified IDPA rules seemed to fit right nicely. All of mine were fast and accurate if they did not do IDPA type things.

I hope this works for the LEO community and does not degenerate into the PPC matches of my youth with specialized guns and ammo dominated by wealthy teams from large departments/agencies.

We (or should I say you as I can qualify for this competition twice) already have Three Gun which is sweeping the young commando world. That is too much running and gunning for an old dude like me. Plus, it is as expensive as Cowboy (without the clothes). Camo is cheap!
