Here is a fantastic article from a very informative web site Officer.com. Click on the title to view the article. I have also added a RSS feed on the side bar of this blog that will let you see some of the latest feed from officer.com

Enjoy!

This appears to the be special contribution of Gabe Suarez who is a controversial figure in the training arena. But, this is an excellent point and come to think of it a natural reaction. Rob Pincus of Valhalla is big into the consistent application of our own natural reactions. It is either a learned behavior resulting in too much waiting for the buzzer like Pavlov's dog or a reaction time problem which requires addressing by getting inside the OODA loop.

If NASCAR is too guilty of olympic run-dodge-jump, we are too guilty of stand and deliver shooting. The incorporation of movement should be in each string of each match and in our practices (what is that?).

Move, shoot and communicate. Get off the X, accurately engage the threat and communicate to the witnesses that this was not your idea!
